Non-Working Periods:
Non- working periods can be specified on calendars for Sync to take into account when calculating task line and production planner dates.
Non- working periods are used to specify Public/Bank holidays as well as general shut down periods when staff will not be working. By doing this you can ensure that users are not notified of due tasks and that production is not planned for those dates.
Important Notes:
- Adding non-working periods will only affect critical paths added to jobs going forward. i.e. Adding a new non-working day will not cause existing jobs critical paths to be recalculated. Replan the critical path to get updated dates
- Non-working periods can be specified individually for different Calanders. i.e. you could have local annual shut down on a US Calander but then indicate Chinese New Year on a Chinese Calander
- Nonworking days will only impact date calculations where that Calander is specified on Tasklines/ production
- It is best practice to load non-working days well in advance before task line or production planning is initiated for that period.
