Custom Fields:
Custom fields are user created entities that can exist on multiple documents within Sync (for example, on a job or on a customer). These are used when users require additional information that needs to be stored separately to the standard Sync fields.
Fields:
- Name: The name of the custom field.
- Category: The custom field category that the custom field sits in.
- Type: What date type the custom field is (example: numeric or text).
- Active: Specifies if the custom field is active or not.
- Copy: This specifies whether the custom field copies over when duplicating the document it sits in.
- External Users: This specifies if the custom field is available to users marked as external users.
- Lock: If ticked as yes, the custom field will only be editable when the document is in an editable status. If not ticked, the value can be changed at any stage.
- Product Costing: Specifies whether the custom field will be visible in the product costing screen.
- Required: Specifies whether the custom field is required on that document or not.
- Search Column: If ticked, users will be able to see that custom field on search screens relating to that document.
- Search Filter: If ticked, users will be able to search that custom field on search screens relating to that document.
- Web: Specifies whether this custom field will be available on B2B.
- Credit Note: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a credit note.
- Customer: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a customer.
- In Shipment: Specifies if this custom field will be available on an in shipment.
- Invoice: Specifies if this custom field will be available on an invoice.
- Job: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a job.
- Job Product: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a job product.
- PO: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a PO header.
- PO Item: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a PO line item.
- PPO: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a PPO header.
- PPO Item: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a PPO line item.
- Product Type: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a product in Sync admin.
- QA: Specifies if this custom field will be available on the QA portion of a job.
- Quote: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a quote.
- Shipment: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a shipment.
- SO Item: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a sales order line item.
- Sub Customer: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a sub customer.
- Tech Pack: Specifies if this custom field will be available on the tech pack.
- User: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a user in Sync admin.
- Vendor: Specifies if this custom field will be available on a vendor.
