The article outlines the outlines the required job configuration for Jobs/Styles to appear on the Production Planner Board (PPB) in the Sync system.
OVERVIEW
Visibility Requirements for Jobs on the Production Planner:
For a job to be visible on the Production Planner, the following conditions must be met:
1. Vendor Must Be Marked as ‘Production’
The CMT / Finished Goods Vendor listed in the Product Cost Details must be configured as a Production Vendor.
2. Job Status Must Be Marked as a Production Status
The job must be in a status that is flagged as a production status within the system.
3. Production Units Must Be Defined
The job must have production units specified in the Product Unit Matrix.
4. CMT Minutes and Production Board Placement
Jobs will appear on the Production Planner even without CMT minutes. However, to add items to the Production Board, each product must have CMT minutes defined.
KEY BENEFITS
- Ensures only relevant, fully configured jobs appear on the Production Planner.
- Prevents incomplete jobs from disrupting planning workflows.
- Supports accurate tracking and scheduling of production activities.
- Reinforces vendor and job status compliance for planning visibility.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Regular audits of vendor configurations and job statuses help maintain accurate visibility on the PPB.
Missing CMT minutes will block job placement on the board but not overall visibility, ensure planners verify this before scheduling.
