This article outlines the steps to duplicate product costs from an existing Job/Style within the Product Costing module.

 

PURPOSE

To streamline the cost setup process by copying product costs from a similar Job/Style, especially when the Bill of Materials (BOM) is the same or similar.

  • Saves time by avoiding manual cost entry
  • Ensures consistency across similar Jobs/Styles
  • Ideal for products with identical or similar materials and configurations

 

FOLLOW STEPS BELOW:

 

1. From withing ‘Product Costing’ search for the relevant Job/Style

2. Click on ‘Details’

3. From within the Job/Style, Click on the ‘Product Cost’ Tab

4. Click on the ‘Duplicate from existing product’ button

5. Within the ‘Search Job Products’ Window, apply filters and enter a Search Criteria

6. Click ‘Select’

7. Click ‘Duplicate Selected Costs’ if you need to duplicate specific costs or leave as pre-selected

8. Tick Costs you need to duplicate

9. Click ‘Ok’

 

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Users are responsible for verifying and updating duplicated data such as colour, rating, and unit cost, if necessary.

Ensure that any unique attributes of the new Job/Style are accurately reflected post-duplication.
