FOLLOW STEPS BELOW:
If insufficient stock is available to fulfill the Sales order, but more stock will be arriving in the future, a back order can be created. However, the Break Line functionality must be used in conjunction with the back order, and the BOrd tick box must be ticked for the relevant line items before creating the picking slips.
This will create a Back Order line on the Sales Order for the remaining quantities.
If the B Ord checkbox is not checked, Sync moves the Sales Order line item to picked and marks it as complete and stock can no longer be picked. A new Sales Order will need to be created for the outstanding units.
Note:
Business Rules Involved:
If the Business Rule Automatic_Back_Order_Creation is switched on, the back-order column will
automatically be ticked.
Either a new Sales Order can be created for the back order line or the back order line can be added to the original Sales Order. This is determined by the business rule default_back_order_header_creation.
