If a double label ribbon is needed, the Sync Label Printer App can be used to print labels side by side.
This can either be 2 different labels or 2 of the same labels side by side.
Having 2 labels side by side does mean the UI of the app is only able to control the label quantity for a single line (a side-by-side pair) and not each singular label.
The code example below shows how to achieve this.
By duplicating the label code and setting the second label to the right, the label app now prints 2 side by side.
You may need to ensure the printer is not set to the default size and manually adjust it to be double the width but the same length to trick the printer it is printing 1 large label instead of 2 smaller ones.
I did not need to adjust any printer settings, however, when implementing this on a Datamax printer.
